It’s coming to KDP Soon! #ROW80

I must say that writing Along Came Neil has been one of the most difficult works I have written as of yet. I never thought in my whole life that I would actually sit down and write a romance, and a Contemporary Romance at that. I just never imagined it.

Well, I am happy to say it is done and over with.

The first draft and edits are done, and I must say I have surprised myself with this work. I didn’t think I could do it.

Next up I will take a little bit of a break and revisit my all ready published works and clean them up a bit and then resend them out into the world.

I have all ready done this with Friends of Choice. It has gotten its long overdue edit, and it is so much better.

What will I work on next?

I can’t honestly say. I need to finish up revising my other all ready published works then I just might start work on the next installment of my fantasy series, Orgarlan Saga. I’ve been getting so many request for the next book in the series, so I think that will be the best choice.

It feels so good to accomplish something you think you can’t do.

So remember, if you put your mind to it, you can do it too.

Another First Draft Done #ROW80

After struggling for seven months on my first teen romance I am happy to announce the first draft of Along Came Neil is DONE! And it is about time.

Writing this book is a big learning curve for me. I don’t normally read romances to begin with. I am the action adventure type of person who reads almost any kind of fantasy book that is plot oriented. Happy endings were never a prerequisite for my reading taste. I just hunger for a good plot.

By writing Along Came Neil I not only had to come up with a plot but I needed to develop my characters. This is something I have noticed in most of the really good Romances I have read this past year.

So now that I have the plot down with the first draft and a basic sketch of the characters when I go back through the story for the first edit I will be concentrating on description and character building. The biggest question I will be asking while I edit is why are my characters acting the way they do?

Hopefully this story will come out to be better than my others. I know I still have a lot to learn about the craft of writing, but I also do know one doesn’t learn it all over night. The best writers have had years and years of practice.
