Turtling the Story for #ROW80

Labor Day is almost here and Road Salt is nowhere near being done. It seems like this story has been a little bit harder for me to write than Witch Book or Aaron and Keja had ever been. I have been writing at a turtle’s pace even though I need to get this story done.

Tonight I did add another 1k words to the story, making the story’s word count 15k. I guess a turtle’s pace is better than no pace at all.

At least the plot outline is done. Now it all comes down to fleshing out the characters and getting gritty with the story. Also, I am trying not to censure my writing, or at least not as much as my previous works.

It just all comes down to making myself write.

The hard part that is keeping me from writing:

World of Warcraft…

They are coming out with the next expansion. It is due to be released on September 25th and I can’t wait. I am looking forward to creating a Panda monk and learning how to do a little bit of Kung-Fu in my gaming world.

So when I’m not gaming, I am writing and vice versa.

I started playing WOW back in 2008. That was when I had decided to write Aaron & Keja. In fact that is where I came up with the idea of civilizing the Orcs and Goblins and making the Elves something other than the good guys.

I liked writing the story with this fresh approach. Now when the next book comes out I will seek to steer away from Good vs. Evil. Instead I will use influences and choices along with temptation.

I think a strong plot for any story is better than a story about a character who goes through their entire life without any direction or meaning, good or bad.

Maybe the next Orgarlan Book will be infused with some good old fashion Karma as the events begin to take place.

Friday List #Top10FavoriteArtist

“For the past year I have been reading a lot of new authors on my Kindle, so instead of picking my favorite of my favorite, I wanted to pick from the books I have read during this past year. This I had to give some thought to, since I have read a lot of really great books on my kindle. So here is my list of favorites.”

It is Friday, finally, and I have the next book to tell you about on my List of my Favorite Top Ten Artists.

Can you live 28 years without discovering you’re a witch? — Lauren is downtown Chicago’s youngest elite realtor. She’s also a witch. She must be – the fetching spell for Witches’ Chat isn’t supposed to make mistakes. So says the woman who coded the spell, at least. — The tall, dark, and handsome guy sent to assess her is a witch too (and no, that doesn’t end the way you might think). What he finds in Lauren will change lives, mess with a perfectly good career, and require lots of ice cream therapy.

What an entertaining read. I really enjoyed this book. The author has an interesting way of including a chat room dialogue in her story line.
The characters are well drawn out without an overload of information.
I would recommend this read to those who love to read about the subject of magic.
“Enjoyable, a page turner and I can’t wait to find out what happens in the next book of the series.”

A touch of romance and witchcraft together in a modern setting…
